Review of industrial policies in relation to de-concentration and regional development

We were asked by World Bank to assess the impact of current industrial policies on de-concentration of industry from the major conurbations on Java and development of other regions of Indonesia. We focused particularly on the role of industrial estates, export processing zones and similar policy instruments, and made recommendations to increase their impact on regional development.

Mid-Term Evaluation of the China Project Development Facility (CPDF)

Design of Phase 2 of the South Asia Enterprise Development Facility (SEDF)

SQW was commissioned to develop the detailed design for phase 2 of SEDF, which will run from 2008 to 2014. The design was developed based on experience to date with phase 1 (for which SQW undertook the mid term review in 2005), the expectations of donors (SEDF is funded by IFC, the European Commission, DfID and several other bi-lateral donors) and changing constraints and opportunities in the region (including Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and North East India).
