The UK Strategy for Agricultural Technologies was published in 2013 as one of the Government’s 11 Industrial Strategies. The Strategy sets a vision for the UK to become a world leader in agricultural technology, innovation and sustainability. The Government has now published SQW’s report providing a baseline of the sector, and an evaluation framework setting out the methods that can be used to assess the effects of the Strategy.

Read more...The UK Commission for Employment and Skills’ investment funds have been a critical part of its work to stimulate leadership and investment in skills amongst employers. The Growth and Innovation Fund (GIF) and Employer Investment Fund (EIF) have each allowed the UK Commission to co-invest with employers to create skills solutions, infrastructure and capacity aimed at addressing failures in skills supply, demand and mismatch between the two. Combined, the funds represent co-investment of over £100m in employer-led skills solutions.
