Huge crowd that visited the Brunei booths gave thumbs up to the products.

Brunei showcases and promotes the Bio-Innovation Corridor (BIC).

The BIC is an initiative in the Brunei-Muara District, led by the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources.

The Halal Industry Innovation Centre (HIIC) has been established to promote the development of Halal-certified industries in Brunei Darussalam.

The BIC intends to develop an internat-ionally renowned Halal-themed industry park as part of the wider economic diversification strategy, accommodate research and innovative technology application, build on and support the development of the Brunei Halal brand and create a lively and mixed use environment and generation of employment opportunities.

Another popular local booth is Asli-KTM Sdn Bhd that exhibits local brand Brumee that manufactures dried and fresh noodles, kway tiaw, wonton noodles and wonton skin sheets. The company also participated last year.

An Asli-KTM Sdn Bhd staff said the public response towards the products especially among the Chinese customers is very encouraging.

He said the company is Brunei’s largest manufacturer of halal dried and fresh yellow noodles, kway tiaw and skin sheets.

He said KTM was introduced and established in 1982 for both noodles (yellow and flat rice noodles) and today our new factory Asli-KTM Sdn Bhd is one step ahead towards exporting our products under “BruMee” logo.

The CAEXPO is not only a platform for China-Asean cooperation but also a grand trade event open to the whole world.

The CAEXPO has promoted the exchanges and cooperation of China and Asean with other economies and enhanced the influence of China and Asean as a whole in the world, springboard to the huge world market and abundant business opportunities beyond the China-Asean region.
